Details
The most exciting thing about working in a prop/ theming industry is that all of the holidays come early. Just one of many snowmen I hand-painted/airbrushed.

The quick and economical solution to a metal sculpture: high density foam with a serious coat of urethane. How to give it the weight and appearance of a heavy metal piece? A really impressive paint job.
I helped execute (both) final finishes on this foam sculpture for the Wonders of Wildlife Museum in Springfield, Missouri. The client had originally requested a patina bronze (pictured left); however, upon the due date the client changed their mind and wanted something that resembled steel (right). The sculpture met its deadline with an 8 hour turnaround time on paint alteration.
PROPS
This was the humble beginning of launching my own company, Extraction Engine. I began creating props for Mad Max: Fury Road enthusiasts. The Fury Road following was booming, what started as a costume accessory turned into commissions for functional steering wheels for those interested in Car Shows and embellishing their roadsters. I have created several wheels for NBA players, politicians, CEOs, rock stars, and cosplayers. What an honor it was to see my work featured on Cracked.com
Dreams really do come true
This was my last project with my former employer, we had a contract with Disney World in helping create Toy Story Land’s Slinky Dog Dash. The Imagineers were building an atmosphere where the guests would feel shrunken down to toy-size as the scenery was enormous with extremes of detail. I was part of the sculpture team that created the original multi-colored building blocks, each were hand-carved to give the sincere appearance of wood grain. I was also working in the painting department helping with fine color details for the letter blocks, clipboard head, and 17’ tall Lincoln Log.
